My primary goal as a financial advisor is to make sure that my clients can always answer three questions;
1) What investments are in your portfolio? 2) Why are those investments in your portfolio? 3) How much are you paying your financial advisor for their services?
I have learned that using those questions as a guide, helps me, help you. Those three questions ensure that I am always on the same page with my clients. I have built my business by treating clients as I would want to be treated, I would want to be treated with respect, and transparency.
One-size-fits-all may be fine for some investors, but I believe investments should be tailored to your needs and not generically based on guidelines for someone your age or at your stage of life. If you spent more time last year planning your vacation than planning your retirement, now is the time to take action. Envisioning retirement is your job. Helping you get there is mine.
